As struggle for relevance have continued to brew in Zamfara politics, over 20,000 members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who are believed to be loyalist to former Governor Yari’s faction in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of Zamfara state have dumped the APC and cross-carpeted over to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
The defectors who revealed they have dumped the APC for good and are ready to flow with the moving tide of, Hon Bello Mohammed Matawalle, a member Zamfara state House of Assembly representing the Birnin Magaji Local Government Area.
According to the defectors, it has become necessary to join the band wagon and move the state to the Next Level, as Nura Dahiru Sabon Birni joined the decampees.
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Dahiru said they cannot continue to flex muscles over trivialities when the state is in need of a serious development.
According to him, it is God that gives power and the same God has given the PDP this time around the opportunity to form government of the state for the first time since the return of democracy in 1999, therefore there is no point throwing blame game, all the state require now is support from its people he stated
