It’s Your Choice, If You Call Me Baba Go Slow – Buhari

Buhari had earlier met with his Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo where he presented a Christmas gift to his Boss including a card.

Mr President explained his administration commitment to upgrading the Nigerian infrastructure, especially roads, railway transportation and power while ignoring those who choose to label him “Baba go slow”.

He said he wants Nigeria to develop with citizens not bothered by who occupies the State House as long as the infrastructure is in place, saying when you deny citizens infrastructure, they will be left with no option but to protest.

He commended Nigerians for voting him back to office for a second term, saying it was an indication that they sympathise with him.

Buhari said he thanked Nigerians from the bottom of his heart.

The President said during his campaign when he went around the 36 states of the Federation, the turn out of the people was an affirmation that they love him and they cannot be bought.

He said he swore with the constitution to uphold the office of the President, it does not matter whether we call him Baba go slow or not.

On the delegation were religious leaders across Christianity and Islam, traditional rulers as well as groups like the Christian Association of Nigeria.

Some of the notable faces were the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Ignatius Kaigama, and the Imam of the Abuja National Mosque, Dr Mohammed Kabir.

The Minister thanked the President for the attention the FCT received right from 2015 to date especially on security and infrastructure.

He said the election has come and gone, it was time for Nigerians to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
