The Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption has made a case for the appointment of the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, as the substantive chairman of the anti-graft body.

The endorsement of Magu by PACACwas made in Abuja on Wednesday by PACAC’s Chairman, Prof. ItseSagay when he led his team on a solidarity visit to the EFCC boss at the Commission’s headquarters.

Prof Sagay stressed that Magu deserves appointment as the substantive chairman of the EFCC. “When something is good; when you see high quality, merit, dedication, and somebody who is courageous in the fight against corruption, I think it will be stupid to say you are looking for something outside.

In our view, the acting Chairman deserves everything including his being given a substantive appointment the Chairman of PACAC was quoted as saying. While expressing support to the Commission, Sagay said “EFCC deserves continued support so that it will know it is being appreciated.
