I Didn't Sack Any Chief For Welcoming Ganduje – Emir Sanusi

The Kano Emirate Council has debunked the trending reports that it sacked Maja Siddin Sarkin Kano, Alhaji Auwalu, the custodian of the Emir’s horse.

Punch reports that the alleged sacking had been trending online. The report had claimed that Sanusi on Saturday fired and ordered Auwalu to vacate his house located within the palace as punishment for participating in the ‘Welcome Home Rally’ for Governor Abdulahi Ganduje last Wednesday.

 

Reacting, a palace source was quoted as saying the emirate only retrieved the keys of the emirate’s stable from the chief, following the discovery of some missing valuables in the stable.

 

Maja Siddin is the custodian of the emirate council stable for a long time The Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi, denied the report.
