The Bauchi State Election Petition Tribunal has upheld the victory of Senator Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Tribunal declared that Governor Bala Mohammed of the PDP was duly elected and returned as the governor of Bauchi state on the March 8 2019, gubernatorial election, the tribunal consequently struck out the petition filled by, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The case which was presided by Justice Salihu Shuaibu in his six-hour judgement on Monday struck out the petition of the former governor on the ground that it lacked merit.
