The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it has no tension over the scheming of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to edge out its members in the upcoming 9th Assembly leadership.
Rather, the PDP is studying the situation and will act at the right time.
Prince Uche Secondus, the PDP National chairman, disclosed this in an interview on Sunday.
The PDP claimed that the vote from its 46 senators it too much to be ignored when the leadership of the Senate is to be formed.
Mr, Secondus, disclosed it is not in his habit to make noise prior to party’s decision when crucial issues are at stake, saying the party will act accordingly when the time of selecting presiding officers of the National Assembly is due.
The party chairman revealed, the PDP has what he called “unshaken confidence” in its lawmakers-elect, adding that “they are all capable to take decisions that are in the best interest of Nigeria, Nigerians and are all good party men and women.”
According to Secondus, PDP is not bothered with the hue and cry by APC of their winner takes all strategy.
He noted that politics is about negotiation discussion and listening to people.
Mr, Secondus claimed “Notable political players who know their onions don’t make noise on the pages of newspapers and on the screen of television stations. We know what we are doing as a party. “
