President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Abuja congratulated Senate President Bukola Saraki on his 55th birthday celebration.

A statement signed by his special adviser on Media and publicity, Mr Femi Adesina said the president joined all members of the National Assembly, friends and family in celebrating the senate president.

Members of the Senate at the plenary Tuesday, criticised the 2018 Appropriation Bill presented to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari.

At the resumption of Legislative proceedings, Senators complained that 2018 budget is filled with inaccuracies, budget padding and inconsistencies.

The embattled Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Team on Pension Reform, Abdulrasheed Maina says the Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu knows his whereabouts contrary to claims that he is evading arrest and prosecution. The House of Representatives has mandated a joint committee to investigate the controversy that has trailed the decision of the Nigerian Law School to deny a law graduate being called to bar for insisting on wearing hijab.

This comes barely 24 hours after his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, announced in a statement that the President would attend the 59th Proclamation of Republic of Niger ceremony in Tahoua, Niger.
