The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has been affirmed as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA by the Supreme Court on Thursday in Abuja. The court in a unanimous decision by a five-man panel of justices led by Justice Mary Peter Odili, upheld the judgement of the Kano State Division of the Court of Appeal, which validated the November 6, 2021, primary election in Anambra state that produced Soludo.

The apex court also returned Chief Victor Oye as the National Chairman of the party.

The court dismissed the appeal filed by one Jude Okeke on the ground of being an abuse of the court process, and awarded a sum of N1 million to be paid by Okeke to APGA and Oye.
