The Immediate past Governor of Imo state who is also a Senator for Imo West Senatorial district, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has appealed to , Hope Uzodinma-lead Government in the state to put the past behind them and concentrate in forming an inclusive government that the APC is now a big family in the state.

Okorocha made this appeal while addressing the people at the mega rally in Okigwe North at Anara central school field, the gathering organised by APC in preparation for its candidate rerun, Miriam Onuoha coming up on Saturday.

The Senator who recalled the embarrassment the party went in the state during its state congress and National convention before coming to this level in the state.

It could be recalled that Okorocha in his effort to anoint his son in-law, Uche Nwosu to succeed him throw the party into confusion during the party primaries in the state, subsequently he opted for removal of the APC party chairman Hillary Ekeh, and attempted to replace him with, Dan Nwafor who is believed to be loyalist of his son in-law.

The crises set the party in disarray and tore it apart in the state into two factions between Hillary and Nwafors, ultimately, Ekeh produced Uzodinma while Nwafor produced Nwosu.

The drama set the two groups on each other’s neck, character assassination and name callings between the two blocks.

Meanwhile in his appeal, Okorocha appealed, saying though the party is yet to get over their differences, however, appealed to the governor to sheath the sword and run an inclusive government by uniting both party factions.

He asked that the APC under the authentic chairmanship of Prince Mercilinus Nlemigbo run an open door government that will incorporate his numerous boys.

According to the former governor, APC is now a big family in the state, although there are still gray areas that need to be fixed, but the ultimate result is that APC is in charge.

He said he was optimistic that the party will emerge victorious over time, Okorocha called on all members to support the Uzodinma administration.
