The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan has today named 69 individual senators that will chair standing house committees. The announcement was done shortly when the Lawmakers collectively agreed to go on annual recess.
Accordingly, some of the senators who are deemed to be loyal to the Senate president clinch the juicy committees (PremiumTimes).
The committees considered to be juicy are; committee on appropriation to be chaired by, Barau Jibrin; Finance, Adeola Olamilekan; Defence, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamako; police, Dauda Jika; and Army, Ali Ndume.
Others were Agriculture, Abdullahi Adamu; INEC, Kabiru Gaya and NDDC, Peter Nwaboshi.
