The Nigerian Senate has commenced the screening of ministerial nominees sent for confirmation by the President, Muhammadu Buhari.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan had on Tuesday read the list of the nominees sent to the 9th Senate by the President, stressing that the screening and confirmation of the nominees would commence on Wednesday (today).
Vigil360 reporter at the National Assembly observed that the screening exercise commenced around 11:20AM with a nominee from Abia state, Uchechukwu Ogah being the first to be led into the Red Chamber by Senator Ita Enang.
At the time of filing this report, Ogah is being squeezed by the senate.
