On the ongoing proceeding of Buhari versus Atiku at the Presidential Petition Tribunal (PPT), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presented one, Mohammed Tata as a witness, Tata informed the Tribunal that as an agent of PDP, he was threatened to sign election result during the February 2019 Presidential Election.
Tata, in his submission, informed the court that he was threatened to be sacked as an N-Power beneficiary if he refused to sign the result sheet.
However, Tata has failed to tell the court the names of those who threatened him with the sack threat in his oath statement when he was cross-examined by the APC lawyer, Prince Lateef Fagbemi.
The Presidential Tribunal is looking into the Application filed by the PDP and Atikuku Abubakar challenging the victory of President Buhari in the February 2019 General Election.
While cross-examining him during the proceeding by the INEC Lawyer, Yunus Usman, Tata said he was scared of being sacked from N-Power which he is a beneficiary of after he was intimidated into signing the result sheet.
Meanwhile, the identity and the Party affiliation of those who harassed Tata are yet to be unveiled to the tribunal by him.
In a controversial twist, Tata added, that the 700 votes claimed to have been won by the APC in his unit could not be ascertained as election did not hold in that unit.
Then which result sheet did Tata signed when there was no election the APC lawyer inquired?
Tata disclosed I do not care who won or lost, but all I want is for justice to prevail. I am a Muslim and believe in destiny, adding that he does not care whether the PDP or APC won the election in his unit.
