President Muhammadu Buhari was congratulated on his re-election by Bill Gates the founder of Microsoft on Wednesday via a phone call.
Speaking, Gates expressed his appreciation over cooperation given to him by the Nigerian Government. He then reiterated his commitment to the success of the administration as well as the progress, prosperity, and well-being of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The philanthropist expressed willingness to contribute more for the wellbeing of the Nigerian citizens.
Responding, President Buhari reiterated his belief that Gates’ wealth has benefited Nigeria’s development, and expressed appreciation for the call. He applauded Gates’ effort towards eradication polio and other contagious diseases in Africa and Nigeria in particular.
Buhari commended Bill Gates for his consistent and generous support to public causes around the Globe.
