Port Harcourt Residents Protest Escape Of Suspected Ritual Killer From Police Detention

Some residents of Eliozu area of Port Harcourt on Wednesday protested the escape of Mr Ifeanyi Dike, a suspected ritual killer, from police custody. The Rivers Police Command had paraded Dike for allegedly raping and killing Miss Victory Chikamso, an eight- year old girl residing in the same compound with him.

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Beetle Aircraft today crashed in Kaduna while on a mission, according to the spokesman of the Air Force Air Commodore, Olatokunbo Adesanya. He said the only soul on board the aircraft, one of the NAF’s experienced instructor pilots, was unfortunately lost during the mishap.

NBA Annual Conference: Lawyers Task Buhari On Electoral Promises

Lawyers at the ongoing 2017 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Lagos have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to fulfill his campaign promises to the people, following his safe return from a103-day medical leave in UK.

On Thursday, the Conference organized by the leadership of the National Labour Congress (NLC) in Abuja was disrupted following comments made by the former Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomole.  It was gathered that Oshiomole during his presentation on the rising call for restructuring, claimed that eminent Nigerians at the forefront of clamour for restructuring of the country were those that lost the 2015 general elections. He stated that the sudden agitation was to distract the current administration, while endearing themselves to the people.
