HUMAN Rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has declared support for the third force movement known as Coalition for Nigeria (CN) championed by Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo. The Lawyer made this known while speaking at the ongoing 40th-anniversary celebration of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Abuja on 28th February 2018. While speaking, the lawyer revealed that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) had recovered about N1trillion loot due to corrupt practices over the last two years.

Following growing reactions, the Kwara State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed an amendment bill seeking the suspension of the payment of pensions to former governors, deputy governors and other officers holding political offices after their tenure in office. APC Extends Oyegun-Led National Executive Committee’s Tenure By 12 Months
The National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the extension of the tenure of the John Odigie Oyegun led National Working Committee and state executive committees of the party for any other one year with effect from June 30, 2018. Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello who briefed newsmen at the end of the meeting said the decision was taken in line with article 13 of the party which allows the NEC to exercise the powers of the National Convention.

The Governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola says the Peoples Democratic Party is a failed party that never succeeded in achieving anything meaningful throughout its 16 years in power. He stated this at the inauguration of the digital switch over of Osun state in Osogbo, the state capital. He said the PDP government failed to meet the June 2015 deadline for switch over from analogue to digital because the party was not known to have succeeded in anything.
