Fresh crisis appears to be rocking the seat of Power as 180 aggrieved policemen serving at the Presidential Villa have protested over their unpaid Risk Caution Allowances since 2015, when they were posted to the Presidency. The affected Policemen made their grievances known in a petition addressed to the President, Muhammadu Buhari. The petition which was obtained by Vigil360 was titled “President Muhammadu Buhari’s mobile policemen plead over unpaid Risk Caution Allowances from May 2015 to date”

The first civilian governor of Adamawa state, Abubakar Saleh Michika is dead. He died on Saturday after it was reported that he was in coma. According to Vanguard, Michika who died yesterday night has been in coma for several days at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola, Adamawa state capital.

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi has called on the Nigerian government to formalise its relationship with traditional institution and incorporate it into the mainstream of governance as a way of finding lasting solution to several security challenges facing the nation, including insurgency. He said colonial government was able to achieve political stability and peace because the traditional institution was an integral part of the political arrangement, especially at the local government level.

Members of Movement for New Nigeria have slammed the Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Ademola Adeleke over incessant display of dancing skill wherever he goes. The National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Sunday Kelani, in a statement issued on Friday lamented that instead of contributing meaningfully to national development, the senator was busy misbehaving at social events.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday visited the graveyard of the 73 persons killed by people suspected to be Fulani herdsmen. The former president arrived Makurdi to condole with the government and people of the state where he was received at the airport by the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom and other members of his cabinet. President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to visit the state next week.

2019: I Will Be President Of Nigeria, Fayose Insists

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, has once again said he will become the President when Nigerians select a new leader for another four years in 2019.

He said this on Thursday in Ado Ekiti, the state capital while addressing hundreds of women at an event to commemorate the 2018 International Women’s Day.
