The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has said that she has forgiven the accusers that doubted her over COVID-19 palliative distribution.
The Minister stated this while speaking with newsmen in Gusau yesterday.
In her statement; “I’m aware many people have made various spurious allegations and accusations against my person and my ministry over the way we distributed Federal Government palliatives to cushion the effect of COVID-19.
“I have always said I am carrying out my duties and responsibilities to the best of my ability and with fairness to all parts of the country.
“Now that they have realized their mistakes, l will only pray to God to forgive us all,” she maintained.
Farouq had earlier paid homage to the Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, where the Emir called on the Federal government to see it as a responsibility to tackle the security situation in the country.
The Emir advised the Federal Government to support state governments in building more of the rural access roads to ease the way in which our security agencies shall go after the criminals and their hideouts.
The monarch also solicited more federal appointments for Gusau indigenes saying at present, the state has only one Federal Permanent Secretary.
Meanwhile, the royal father renewed his continued support to the federal government and all its programs that are people oriented.
