The All Progressive Congress (APC) has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of sponsoring and fuelling of the protest through making some provocative statements on social media.

Mr. Yekini Nabena, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC made the accusation yesterday saying the PDP was playing Ostrich game with the protest.

He revealed through the APC has outgrown joining issues with the PDP especially on the turn taken by the protesters, but will not absolve the PDP of fuelling the crises.

According to Nabena, the APC is ready to provide evidence of PDP to either directly or indirectly sponsoring the protest or playing politics with the whole issue.

His statement partly reads; “It is on record that one of the leaders of #EndSARS protest in Akwa Ibom State, three days ago publicly admitted that the state governor, Udom Emmanuel, gave N4 million for onward sharing to the protesting youth in Uyo.

“Kufre Carter, one of the organizers of the protests, reportedly said he got a call from the governor’s aide on youth matters whom he said told him that the governor gave N4 million to be shared to the protesters.”NAN quoted him as saying.

He revealed that the Caretaker Chairman of the APC, Mai Mala Buni, who is also the governor of Yobe state has noted the PDP antics.

The APC Chieftain has called on the protesting youth to embrace dialogue as it is the only way to lasting peace.
