The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has assured Nigerians that he will admit the judgment of the Presidential Election Tribunal on his petition challenging the victory of President Buhari in the 2019 general election.

Atiku made this pledge affirming that he will not allow his personal ambition to throw the country into crises, noting that Nigeria is already in a trying time over security issues.

Segun Sowunmi, the spokesperson of Atiku campaign organization made this statement on behalf of the former vice president, saying their party is more interested in institutional reforms that will guarantee national development.

While addressing Journalist in Abuja, Sowunmi enjoined the tribunal judges to do their best while delivering its judgment without fear or favor.

According to him, they hope as a party and pray that the cancer of corruption, nepotism, and lack of integrity that have done so much damage to our collective effort in Nigeria shall be arrested.

However, it’s up to the court to prove they are immune to interference. Hoping that the tribunal will do its job as expected. People are anxious to know which way, meanwhile, PDP is ready to accept any verdict.

“For Atiku is the leader of opposition now, Atiku is not going to be silenced with whatever the outcome will be.” Sonwunmi added.
