President Buhari, Senate President, Others Observed Eid Prayer At Aso Villa

The president and other top politicians in the person of the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other Muslim faithful conducted the Eid prayers at the Presidential Villa today Thursday.

The prayer was performed at the force court of the villa and those in attendance were the immediate and extended members of the President in attendance, the National Security Adviser to the President, retired Babagana Monguno, the Director-General of Department of State Service, Yusuf Bichi, the acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, other presidential aides and principal staff of the State House.

It was gathered that today's Eid prayers carried out at the Villa as against the usual tradition of going to prayer grounds, in line with the Presidential Steering Committee directives against mass gathering to help in curbing the spread of coronavirus.

The Chief Imam of the Aso Rock Mosque, Sheikh Abdulwahid Sulaiman, in his sermon urges Muslims to continually seek God's forgiveness beyond the month of Ramadan, More so the need for fairness by leaders in the political, religious and traditional sphere in dealing with the citizens.
