Governors To Meet On May 19 Over Executive Order 10, Others

The 36 State governors under the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) are scheduled to hold their 30th teleconference meeting by 2 pm on Wednesday, 19th May 2021. This was disclosed on Monday in a statement signed by the Head, Media, and Public Affairs, Mr. Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo.

Barkindo said several issues would be addressed at the virtual meeting such as the current discussion over Executive Order 10, the third wave of COVID-19, an update of the States, Fiscal Transparency, Accountability, (SFTAS) report, amongst other issues.

Barkindo also said, "Furthermore, there will be a presentation from the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Sabo Nanono about the 2nd Phase of Farmers' Enumeration.

"There will also be another presentation by the Director-General, Bureau for Public Enterprises, Mr. Alexander Okoh on unlocking liquidity through sale/optimization of state-owned redundant/sub-optimal assets."

The Director-General of the forum, Mr. Asishana Okauru would also update the governors on the series of Executive Order 10 meetings held with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige regarding the ongoing strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) and the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN).
