Individuals residing in Jiddari Polo area in Maiduguri, Borno state, have debunked reports by many news outfits that Boko Haram attacked the above area just hours after President Muhammadu Buhari's sympathy visit to Maiduguri yesterday.
According to the patriots, who refuted the claims with some videos on social media said gunshots were heard but there was no apparent attack on the area as portrayed by the reports. One of such individuals Mohammed Ciroma, who was at the area after the said attack urged people to refrain from spreading misleading reports which could misinform the public and cause unnecessary panic.
Meanwhile, the governor Babagan Umara Zulum has paid a visit to the area where normalcy has been restored.
