Insecurity: Service Chiefs Meet Behind Closed Door With President Buhari– Renewed Strategy

The Nigerian service chiefs had yesterday met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Amongst those present were; Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Abubakar Sadique.

 

Others are, Director General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ahmed Abubakar, Director General of Department of States Services (DSS) , Yusuf M. Bichi, and Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

 

The Meeting was held behind closed door, according to the chief of Air staff while briefing Journalist after the meeting, they were at the Presidential Villa to review the current strategy of the of the internal security operations and to re-strategize where necessary for a better secured Nigeria.

 

He added we are satisfied with the current effort; we are making progress in managing the present areas of conflicts. However, this can be best achieved if there is maximum support from the Nigerian populace.
