Jamb Fixes 160 As Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Cut-Off Mark

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Tuesday 16th June 2020 had revealed through its Register and Chief Executive Prof. Ishaq Oloyede that the cut-off marks of 2020/2021 admission for tertiary education has been readjusted to the following cut-off marks.

 

Universities have been fixed at 160, polytechnics move to 120, while colleges of education and innovation was pegged at 100.

The Register disclosed this during his speech at the 2020 policy virtual meeting on the admission for the 2020/2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, which stated that only 1, 157,977 candidates made the required five credits including Mathematics and English Language for 2019 UTME.

Moreso, The Minister of State Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, has urged JAMB and Tertiary Institution to take advantage of the current situation and also consider candidates with Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination and other qualifying results of previous years to proceed with 2020/2021 admission process.

This came as the Federal Government listed conditions for reopening schools in the nation.
