Former Head of State, General AbdusalamiAbubakaron Thursday 11th July, 2019 paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Governor, SeyiMakinde. General Abubakar was in Ibadan to attend an inaugural lecture at the University of Ibadan.
Speaking during his visit to the Governor, General Abubakar spoke about his affiliation with Ibadan which he considers home. He recall with nostalgia his first post as an army officer in 1967 at 2 Division, Nigerian Army in Ibadan. He was also the Chairperson of the University of Ibadan endowment fund for four years.
