University of Abuja, Others Running Unaccredited Engineering Programmes

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has revealed that the University of Abuja and some other universities are running unaccredited engineering programmes. This was made known to journalists on Friday by Ademola Adisa, the Registrar of the Council, adding that the universities have failed to update their licenses for various engineering courses.

President Tinubu Will Grant FG Varsities Full Autonomy-Education Minister

The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman (SAN) said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would grant Federal Government (FG) varsities full autonomy. School Fees Hike: FG To Set Up Negotiation Team – Minister

The Federal Government (FG), Says it will set up a formal negotiation team between the Parent-Teachers-Association (PTA), and relevant stakeholders to look into the recent hike of school fees across the country. Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Sununu who made the disclosure on Friday in Abuja at a news conference to herald the commemoration of the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, said there was a need to look into the matter to avert further attacks as the hike in school fees could be a core factor leading to attacks on schools.
