Bandits Attack Catholic School In Kaduna, Abduct Students

St. Albert The Great Institute of philosophy, a Catholic-run seminary located in the Fayit community of kagoma Chiefdom in the Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been attacked by gunmen suspected to be bandits. According to reports, the bandits invaded the seminary on Monday night, around 8 pm shooting sporadically, and causing students and residents in the area to scamper for safety. A source who stays close to the school stated that the operation lasted for over an hour before local hunters and vigilantes intervened forcing the bandits to flee.

It was reported that some students were abducted during the attack while others were injured.

When contacted, the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige said he was yet to receive the report.

As of the time of filing this report, the school authorities are yet to release any official statement with regard to the attack.
