Anti Corruption Crusade; Ex-FIRS Boss, Fowler Quizzed Over 9.2bn Liked To His Account

In an effort to fulfill the campaign mantra of president Buhari zero tolerance on corruption, the immediate former Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) boss, Babatunde Fowler has landed in the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) net over corruption charges.

Fowler was arrested today by the anti-graft agency, Lagos office for further questioning regarding some missing funds during his stewardships as the revenue boss in the country.

According to the source who pleaded anonymity said, Mr. Fowler was accused of misappropriating the sum of N9.2 billion from the Lagos Inland Revenue Service, and Alpha Beta Company was said to have been traced to his personal account.

Recall that EFCC had a few weeks back invited Fowler for questioning in relation to a missing N5 billion frauds committed under his supervision as the revenue boss.
