The Convoy of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has on Friday been attacked again by Boko Haram insurgents along Baga Highway in the state, killing fifteen security personnel including policemen, soldiers, and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF). The attack occurred while on the advance team of the governor were on their way to Baga town in preparation for the return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)to the town, however, the Governor arrived the town by helicopter while his team travelled by road.
The attack comes weeks after the first attack on the Zulum's convoy at the same axis in July, which is believed to be a stronghold of the terrorist group.
