The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) has disclosed that the Federal Government is not considering any negotiation with the Process and Industrial Development Limited (P&ID).] Recall, a Commercial Court sitting in England granted the request of the Nigerian government to contest the $9.6billion fine granted in favor of the P&ID.

The Nigerian government is looking for an avenue to reverse the judgment which it believed was obtained in a controversial manner by the company through fraudulent means.

The AGF spokesman while speaking to newsmen yesterday revealed that the Federal Government would ensure that the company does not reap where it didn’t sow

In his statement, “There will be no negotiation or talk of settlement with P&ID or any related party by or on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria”, he stressed.

“The recent judgment of the English Commercial Court confirmed our view that P&ID and its cohorts are fraudsters who have exploited our country. They will not benefit from their corrupt behavior.”

The AGF described the case as a classical one with overwhelming fraudulent and corrupt motives.

Malami added that the Buhari administration remains committed to overturn the ridiculous award without paying a kobo out of the public funds.
