EFCC Operatives Arrest LAUTECH Students Over Internet Fraud

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have arrested some students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomosho, Oyo State, over allegation of involvement into various forms of cybercrime.


The students were arrested by the Advance Fee Fraud Unit based on intelligence report, at their off-campus hostels, following a three-day raid carried out between September 16 and 19, 2019.

 

Some of the suspects confessed to have committed the offences labelled against them. The suspects are currently under the custody of the EFCC and will soon be taken to court.
