NDDC Amnesty Programme: N712bn Gone Missing – NSA Raised Alarm

Boko Haram Attack Gov Zulum's Convoy, Kills 15 Security Operatives

The Convoy of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has on Friday been attacked again by Boko Haram insurgents along Baga Highway in the state, killing fifteen security personnel including policemen, soldiers, and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF). The attack occurred while on the advance team of the governor were on their way to Baga town in preparation for the return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)to the town, however, the Governor arrived the town by helicopter while his team travelled by road.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu has barred the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and other police special teams including the Special Tactical Squad (STS), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), and Anti-Cultism Squad from routine patrols as well as other low-risk duties. The IGP also warned against going on operations while wearing mufti, ordering all police officers including FSARS to wear their uniforms.
