The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has concluded the laboratory analysis of the Covid-19 herbal tonic produced by Madagascan government, PUNCH reports.

It could be that Nigeria in May 2020 received a batch of the herbal tonic after the Madagascan government claimed it was a cure for the Coronavirus.

Some Government pharmaceutical research institutes and agencies that received samples for testings and analysis include NAFDAC, Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, and National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development.

Results of the analysis have been forwarded to the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire while the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 (PTF) is expected to receive a copy.
