A statement by the Adamawa State Ministry of Health on Monday, has confirmed 19 new cases of cholera in Mubi North and Mubi South Local Government Areas (LGAs) respectively.

The Information Officer of the ministry, Mohammed Abubakar, said that 16 of the new cases were recorded in Mubi South LGA, while the other three happened in Mubi North.

According to Premiumtimes, Mr Abubakar disclosed that 1,227 cases were recorded during last month among which twenty persons died, while 19 affected persons were still receiving medical attention at the treatment centre in Mubi General Hospital as at June 10.

The health expert said, Maiha LGA of the state recorded three cases without any deaths, Hong LGA has five cases also without any deaths, Mubi North has 526 cases with 11 deaths while Mubi South has 693 cases with nine deaths.
