The crypto exchange company, FTX announced it was investigating and moving funds into offline storage after a series of “unauthorized transactions”. According to reports, more than $700 million in cryptocurrency vanished from the wallet of the defunct cryptocurrency firm. Soon after, the company via its official Telegram channel announced it was hacked and also advised users not to install any updates and delete all FTX apps.

The company said, “FTX has been compromised. FTX apps include viruses, take them out. The chat window is open. Don’t visit the FTX website since it could download Trojans”.

Last week, the company filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US, citing a multi-billion dollar liquidity hole.

Millions of customers worldwide have been denied access and are not allowed to withdraw due to the multi-billion dollar liquidity hole.
