The President-elect of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has condemned the riot that erupted at the United States Capitol building in Washington DC.

According to Biden, Democrats described the action of Trump supporters as an “assault” on America’s democracy.

Yesterday, President Donald Trump's supporters broke into the U.S. Capitol building just as Congressmen were debating vote count.

Findings revealed that the protest was started shortly after president Trump addressed his followers vowing “never to concede “defeat.

Biden while reacting said, “Our democracy’s under unprecedented assault. Unlike anything, we’ve seen in modern times. An assault on the citadel of liberty, the Capitol itself, an assault on the people’s representatives and the Capitol Hill police, sworn to protect them, and the public servants who work at the heart of our Republic.

The president-elect continued, “Let me be very clear. The scenes of chaos at the Capitol do not reflect a true America. Do not represent who we are. What we’re seeing is a small number of extremists dedicated to lawlessness. This is not dissent. It’s a disorder. It’s chaos. It borders on sedition. And it must end now,”

CNN in its report disclosed that some close aides to Mr. Trump have become infuriated.

Biden said the American public is demanding President Trump to come and calm the situation by talking to his supporters.

The adviser said, “He doesn’t want to” to do more than what he is doing right now”.
