Following Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox in 2019, the company's executives have decided to drop and phase out the "Fox" branding in its new network studio, rebranding it to "20th Century Studios" from the present "20th Century Fox film studio".

The decision to cut “Fox” from the studios and film divisions that Disney owns will further enlighten the public, particularly in the entertainment world, indicating that Disney isn't associated with Fox Corporation (Fox News, Fox Sports, and the Fox TV channel) as they weren't sold to Disney.

According to Variety Magazine, Disney has also renamed "Fox Searchlight Pictures" to "Searchlight Pictures". Also, staff emails have been changed from @fox.com to @20thcenturystudios.com or @searchlight.com.

However, Disney would retain the 20th Century Fox Studio's iconic searchlight logo.

Moreso, the company is yet to decide whether or not to change the names of the 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios.
