President Hassan Rouhani of Iran said today that his country must counter U.S sanctions through renewing its effort of exporting its oil as well as exploring other non-oil sectors.
Rouhani, made this statement on live Iranian TV just a day after Washington posited to force Iran to stop producing low-enriched Uranium and also its project of expanding its only nuclear power plant, intensifying a campaign targeted to stopping its ballistic missile program as well as curbing its regional power.
Rouhani disclosed to his people that, “America is trying to decrease their foreign reserves, he advised them that they have to increase their hard currency income and cut their currency expenditures,”
He revealed last year, Iran had non-oil export of $43 billion. He, therefore, advised Iranians to increase production and raise their non-oil export and resist America’s plot against the sale of their oil.
President Rouhani revealed last week, America said it would stop waivers for countries buying Iranian oil, in his attempt to push Iran’s oil exports to zero. The United States also blacklisted Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Meanwhile, plot by the Trump administration to impose political and economic sanctions on Tehran started with last year’s U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear deal which America and other world powers negotiated with Iran in 2015.
