Pope Francis On Tuesday voiced his sorrow after 26 people were killed at a Baptist Church in Texas over the weekend, offering his support and praying that such acts of meaningless violence would come to an end.

In a Nov. 7 telegram signed by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Pope Francis said he was “deeply grieved by news of the loss of life and grave injuries” caused in Sunday's shooting at a Baptist church in Texas.

BMW is recalling more than 1 million cars and SUVs in two U.S. recalls due to the risk of fires under the hood, and it's recommending that they be parked outdoors until repairs are made. At least 26 people were reportedly killed on Sunday in a church shooting in Sutherland Springs in Texas. Governor Greg Abbott who made the disclosure at a press conference stated that 20 people also sustained various degrees of injuries. According to CNN, a 14-year-old daughter of the First Baptist Church's pastor, Frank Pomeroy also died in the shooting. The incident occurred when the parents were travelling out of the state.

The suspect in Tuesday's deadly truck ramming attack in New York City has been charged on "terrorism" related counts, federal prosecutors announced.

Sayfullo Saipov allegedly drove a rented truck down a popular bicycle path, mowing down cyclists and pedestrians. Eight people were killed and 12 others were injured, some of whom remain in serious condition.
