Syria's state news agency, SANA reports that at least 20 people have been killed and 30 other wounded at a camp inhabited by displaced families near Deir Az Zor, eastern Syria. They were killed after a car bomb was detonated by ISIL. According to Al Jazeera, the incident occurred between al-Jafra and al-Koniko areas, which is located in the countryside south of Deir Az Zor city and is controlled by the Syrian government.
The report quoted Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) as saying 12 children were among a total of 26 victims of Friday's attack in Deir Az Zor province, where ISIL, or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group, also known as ISIS, is losing ground.
The rights group added that six additional children were among at least 19 civilians killed in shelling by the Syrian government in the rebel-held area of Eastern Ghouta near Damascus.
It further claimed that in Eastern Ghouta, government airstrikes killed six people and left several others injured. The report disclosed that in retaliation, the rebels on Friday fired rockets to Syria's capital, Damascus city killing four civilians.
The rocket struck al-Zablatani and al-Dwaila areas of the capital city.
