The central Chinese city of Wuhan seems to have moved on from the coronavirus pandemic, as thousands of partygoers congregated in an open-air water park for an electronic music festival, without any form of social distancing measures or face masks insight. Over the weekend, the Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park was filled with revelers in swimsuits crammed together shoulder to shoulder, waving to the beat of the music and cooling down in hip-high water. Others relaxed on inflatable rubbers tubes that filled the pool to the brim, with little space to float around.
The packed party scene remains unimaginable in many parts of the world still grappling with the deadly virus, who believe the city of 11 million people where COVID-19 first emerged late last year, was supposed to remain responsible seeing that the pandemic is still prevalent.

More than 21 million people have been infected across the globe, with tens of thousands of new cases reported every day in the United States, Brazil, and India.
The city of 11 million people was entirely cut off from the rest of China earlier in the year, as thousands of people were over the next few months tested and placed in quarantine. All large public gatherings were canceled and people told to avoid gathering.
The lockdown, however, was lifted in April and there have been no domestically transmitted cases in Wuhan or Hubei province since mid-May.
