The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman has been temporary mandated to take over the leadership role of the Kingdom following the decision of the King to proceed on personal break. According to SPA, Saudi news agency, King Salman issued a royal decree empowering his son to manage "state affairs and guard the interests of the people" until he is back from holiday.
The move is coming barely one month after King Salma stripped Mohammed Bin Nayef, his nephew of the title of crown Prince and replaced him with his son.
The report however failed to state the place where the King would spend his holiday neither did it state the duration of the holiday. It is however expected that in the King's absence, the Crown Prince shall coordinate the activities of the Kingdom by formulating policies, interfacing with foreign government and run the day-to-day activities of the Kingdom.
