Iran has urged Foreign Powers to leave there region as the regional countries are capable of providing the needed regional security.

The call was made by the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Abbas Mousavi while reacting to the seizure of the country’s oil tanker by the British Royal Marines.

Britain was reported to have seized the oil tanker on suspicion that Iran was breaking European sanctions by taking oil to Syria.

Speaking to state news agency IRNA, Mousavi said “This is a dangerous game and has consequences … the legal pretexts for the capture are not valid … the release of the tanker is in all countries’ interest … Foreign powers should leave the region because Iran and other regional countries are capable of securing regional security.”
