Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad has thanked the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin for the timely intervention in his country stressing that the move rescued the country from destruction. Assad thanked his Russian counterpart when they both met for talks in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi on Monday.
Russia, Turkey And Iran Meet To Resolve Crisis In Syria
Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to host his Iranian and Turkish counterparts at his official residence in the coastal city of Sochi to discuss the Syrian conflict, Al Jazeera has reported. The meeting is billed to place on Wednesday. Prior to the Wednesday meeting, Foreign Ministers of the three countries would on Sunday evening meet in Turkey's resort City of Antalya to perfect arrangement for the meeting.
20 Killed In ISIL Car Bomb
Syria's state news agency, SANA reports that at least 20 people have been killed and 30 other wounded at a camp inhabited by displaced families near Deir Az Zor, eastern Syria. They were killed after a car bomb was detonated by ISIL. According to Al Jazeera, the incident occurred between al-Jafra and al-Koniko areas, which is located in the countryside south of Deir Az Zor city and is controlled by the Syrian government.

Iraqi Forces Retake Last Town Held By ISIS
Iraqi forces have reclaimed the town of Rawa from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria after a fierce battle. Rawa was reported to be the last town held by ISIS in the country. According to a statement by Iraq's Joint Operation Command (IJOC), an Iraqi flag was raised over Rawa around midday Friday.

Former Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad Hariri has reportedly accepted invitation to travel to France from Saudi Arabia where he is currently being 'held hostage by the Saudi authorities' after announcing his resignation on November 4, 2017.
