Following the counter attack launched by the Tehran government on the Israeli airspace on Saturday night, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu had yesterday summoned his war cabinet for the second time in less than 24 hours to weigh a response option to Iran's massive drone attack. Although the Israeli media said the attack did not record casualty but a little damage, courtesy of the United States and other ally’s air defences and countermeasures that helped Israel to dodge casualty record.

Philippines Landslide Death Toll Increases To 68

The death toll following Tuesday's landslide at a gold mining village in Davao de Oro province, Philippines has risen to 68 according to officials. A three-year-old girl was the last person pulled alive from the mud. Her rescue after more than 60 hours buried was described as "a miracle". A disaster agency official of the province, Edward Macapili, said that at the time of the rescue of the girl it had given hope to the workers. But on Monday, those hopes appear to have faded.

Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, has today Tuesday expressed their readiness that his followers, the Hamas group is working on a draft agreement with Israel to bring an end to the war currently going on. Haniyeh disclosed that the draft agreement if concluded would lead to an exchange of hostages of prisoners and a longer ceasefire in the Gaza war.

Former Pakistan PM Khan Jailed For 10 Years

Imran Khan, a former Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan was sentenced to 10 years jail term on Tuesday, less than 2 weeks before the country’s election which his political party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been hamstrung from contesting. His sentence was read inside Adiala jail, where has been detained most of the time since his arrest in August 2023. Khan has faced multiple court cases, which he claims were orchestrated to prevent his political comeback.
