The Manchester Arena was on Monday night hit by a suspected suicide bomber. The attacked happened at the end of a concert by US Singer, Ariana Grande. The Greater Manchester Police has released preliminary investigations, stating that a suspected lone male attacker carrying an Improvised Explosive Device had detonated the bomb killing over twenty people including children, while others are left hospitalized with several degrees of Injuries.
"The attacker, I can confirm, died at the arena. We believe the attacker was carrying an improvised explosive device, which he detonated, causing this atrocity," said Chief Constable Ian Hopkins.
Hopkins equally said that hundreds of police officers were deployed to the scene and many more were expected to patrol the area in the coming days.
The British Prime Minister, Theresa May has however, described the incident as an "appalling terrorist attack" and pledged to bring justice to the door step of the attackers and that if the incident is confirmed as a terror incident, would be the deadliest attack in Britain since 2005 London bombings, which killed 52 people.
President Donald Trump while meeting with the leadership of Palestine in Bethlehem, West Bank, described the terrorists as evil losers. "I extend my deepest condolences to those so terribly injured in this terrorist attack, and to the many killed and the families....of the victims," Trump said. "So many young, beautiful innocent people living and enjoying their lives murdered by evil losers in life."
"Our society can have no tolerance for this continuation of bloodshed. We cannot stand a moment longer for the slaughter of innocent people,..the terrorists and the extremists and those who give them aid and comfort must be driven out of our society forever. This wicked ideology must be obliterated, and I mean completely obliterated." Trump said.
