The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today regrettably announced the death of Ibrahim Isah, the Nigerian Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire. According to NAN, Isah slumped and died, at the Poly-Clinique Internationale Sainte Anne-Marie (PISAM) in Abidjan yesterday, where he went to see his doctor.

The Ambassador, who was born in 1959 in Niger State is survived by a wife and Children.


He held a BSc in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria and a Masters degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).


Isah started his career at the Nigerian Foreign Service in I983. He served at the Nigerian High Commission in Sierra Leone, Consulate-General in New York, Jeddah and the Embassy in China.


In 2017, he was posted to the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire as Ambassador.
