Award-winning Nigerian artists Burna Boy and Davido are scheduled to perform alongside other international artistes at the Global Citizen Live event. Other Nigerian artistes set to perform at the event include Femi Kuti, Tiwa Savage and Made Kuti.
The Global Citizen Live is an all day live broadcast which features numerous artists, corporate and world leaders to mark the world’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event is scheduled for September 25 and would hold in major cities across the world including Lagos, Paris and New York.
Davido, Tiwa Savage, Femi Kuti and his son, Made Kuti would headline the Lagos leg of the event.
For the New York leg of the event, Burna Boy is set to join Coldplay, Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Cyndi Lauper and Meek Mill.
Four-time Grammy Award winner and Beninese icon, Angelique Kidjo would perform at the Paris part of the event alongside Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Black Eyed Peas, DJ Snake, H.E.R. and Christine and the Queens.
Global Citizen is an international education and advocacy organization, who is hoping to end extreme poverty by 2030.
