Popular Nigerian singer-songwriter, musician, entrepreneur and TV host, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, known by his stage name D'banj has revealed that pressure from his mother and friends forced him to secretly marry his heartthrob, Lineo Didi Kilgrow. He explained that even though he was not emotionally prepared for marriage, his mother kept putting him under pressure until he succumbed. He further disclosed that his sole reason of keeping his marriage secret was because celebrity marriage was full of complications, media hype and probe.
According to him I decided to keep my marriage to Didi a secret because based on experience relationships like this get mixed with media hypes and speculations and then it becomes complicated.
“You know the pressure to get married was this high and mum told me she wants to see the girl I am dating and would want to marry.
“I told her that there was this babe and we didn’t want to marry yet but she insisted that she was the one for me that we should have a small ceremony and the rest is history. I’m glad I listened to her.”
The Koko master as he is fondly called recently welcomed a baby boy.
