Oscar 2020: Netflix Tops Nomination List

Netflix has for the first time topped the nominations in the Academy Award History with 24 nominations.

 

The nominations for the streaming service stem from the Irishman to Marriage Story, Edge of Democracy, and Life Overtakes Me among others.

However, “Joker” landed 11 nominations, making it the film with the most nominations, followed by “The Irishman”, “1917” and “Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood” with 10 nominations each.

“Marriage Story”, “Parasite”, “Little Women”, and “Jojo Rabbit” came in third place with 6 nominations each.

Actors like Cynthia Erivo, Anthony Hopkins, Jonathan Pryce and Florence Pugh are all up for nominations.
